Training for Professionals
Since 1965, Planned Parenthood has been building healthy communities with the most sophisticated instrument in medicine: accurate information!
Our trained health educators lead interactive, culturally appropriate sessions that encourage young people to make informed decisions about their health. We train teachers, parents, professionals, and caregivers on how to have honest discussions with the young people in their lives.
Planned Parenthood’s Adult Education Programs include a variety of workshops, trainings, and customizable “lunch and learn” programs that are offered in classrooms or in community settings.
Training for Professionals: The Essential Resource (1.5 to 4 hours)
This training is designed to provide teachers, social service workers, group home leaders, faith leaders, and others with practical answers for your client’s questions and behaviors about sexuality. Participants are guided through various information, communication, and advocacy-related skills by trained and certified Health Educators.
This workshop is a 4 session, interactive training available through a 1.5-hour live webinar broadcast or a 4-hour hands-on training, which can be completed in one day, over several days, or as a lunch and learn. The workshop consists of 4 sessions that can be tailored and bundled according to the needs of the organization. Additional sessions may be imported from the Comprehensive Sexuality Health Education list of services.
