means that those engaging in sexual activities have agreed to engage in those sexual activities which mean that there has been a “yes.” If there is no verbal “yes” then a person can’t assume it’s a yes based on previous sexual history or silence. If a person is receiving mixed signals or there is uncertainty, asking them a simple question like “do you really want to do this?” will make it clearer if there is consent.
